Already a nationally known hotel sales and marketing professional, Maureen Dime became Vice President of Channel Development for one of the nation’s most prestigious travel technology companies in 1999. In 2001, she was a pace setter that recognized the emerging “trend” of the Internet as a distribution channel long before many hotels had even developed a website. Ms. Dime founded Avalon Report, the first to market web and rate auditing service, garnering an impressive client roster from its inception.
Renier Milan joined Avalon Report’s Board of Advisors in 2003 to provide operational and marketing focus to the existing company. Mr. Milan’s long list of hospitality credentials made him uniquely qualified to merge revenue management with operations needs. Mr. Milan became a partner in Avalon Report in 2004.
Having grown beyond its cottage industry beginnings, Avalon Report now maintains corporate offices in San Diego to serve an ever growing subscriber list. Almost two years in development, the new web-enabled version of the Avalon Report merges rate shopping and content review. It provides operational and revenue management feedback to its client base. In addition to complete rate information, Avalon Report’s copyrighted elements, such as The Radar Report and The Buzz Report, summarize the web environment for operations teams and provide competitive threat information for General Managers, Directors of Sales/Marketing and others instrumental in creating web strategies.
